Here’s one for the HFer’s nice receive/ TX antenna End fed and great for digital modes. Presented by Mick (VK4NE)
Low cost/easy to build, using 64/1 balun(covers 40 to 10 Mhz)( Extra special winding, from the Black arts secret antenna book)
Required parts:
1 lenght 20.6 meter’s of a suitable 3.0mm plastic coated/or whats around.
1 only type 43 ferrite
1 plastic waterproof box(or something in the parts bin.)
1 (101 3KV) capacitor.
1 SO259/or what ever your have in that box of goodies.
Method:
Next 5 turns CW pass under ferrite see picture above, then 5 CCW, solder the (101 3KV) capacitor to the second turn of the ferrite, and tap to the centre and ground of the SO259 (through case connecter), (see picture).
Cost about $30.00 maybe more if you have to buy parts ?, has been proven as a very worth while project.
